A comprehensive study of multi-wavelength flux and spectral variability of HBL 1ES 1959+650 using observations from AstroSat, Neil Gehrels Observatory Swift, Fermi, FACT. The AstroSat observations are unique in terms of revealing the entirety of two small time-scale flaring state which is part of a larger time-scale variation. The time-resolved SEDs and lightcurves are modeled to extract the plasma micro- physics and to parameterize the shock accelerations.

Morphology of the Magnetic Field
during a historical flare

The IBL S5 0716+714 was caught displaying a clear 360 degree rotation of optical position vector angle during a historic flare in January 2015. The fractional optical polarization showed very fast but highly erratic variations throughout the activity. The SED, lightcurves and polarization was modeled using 'Helical Magnetic Field Jet' model developed by Dr. Haocheng Zhang. Our work clearly indicate the change of magnetic field morphology (poloidal -> toroidal -> poloidal) during the passage of shock through the emission region.
